Klip Klop Productions Start Up Funds
Last time I used gofundme, it was right at the beginning of the pandemic and I can remember how bleak and uncertain the future felt. But we survived and thrived as best we could and we are here on the other end of it, and I am feeling excited to experience the possibilities of the future and, as it becomes safer to gather in person, to start working again in community organization.
Like many individuals and companies in the last year, I and Katya Presents faced many challenges and were forced to adapt to whatever feasible professional pivots that we could. And while that learning curve seemed overwhelming at first, I can truly say I am grateful how the pandemic made me shift to exploring so many other avenues of finding, strengthening and amplifying the queer community. From fitness to podcasts to video production to tech ethics to so much more, Katya Presents has expanded in ways that I could have only dreamed of and I hope to make these adaptions and pivots permanent staples of work under a new company called Klip Klop Productions. Horse, heel and k******e entendres aside, I am excited to have such a fully realized vision and to share that work and efforts with all y'all in Portland and the queer communities at large!
Excitement doesn't pay the bills though and many of these projects* will take a little money to get off the ground. We are primarily hoping to raise enough funds to lease a mid sized studio ($1400) and furnish it ($900) decently enough. Having a space to personally train clients, improve production values for podcasts and interviews, and have a home base to work out of that isn't also my bedroom will do wonders for the viability and success of Klip Klop Productions and the goals we hope to accomplish!
