Paul Griffith Kidney

As most of us know, a couple months ago, Paul experienced kidney failure. He has been diagnosed with stage 5 kidney disease. He has had one successful operation to prepare for dialysis.  There is another procedure scheduled for May 22. After that, we are hoping for a transplant. Be it an organ donor kidney or a live donor, Paul is on the donor list and now it is just a waiting game.

We are starting this website to help Paul and Ann with the cost of a possible kidney transplant and other additional costs. Providing there are no complications, he makes a trip to Burlington at least once a week for dialysis, check ups and other appointments. Although some of the costs have been covered by insurance, there are many things that it doesn't cover: Insurance Co-pays, Gas, existing bills and dental work required before a transplant. Unfortunately, Paul isn't able to work. Now, they are on one income, the bills are adding up and it is only just the beginning. So, just because we're far away doesn't mean we can't help. This is a way for those of us who want to help but live to far away to just stop by and drop off a home cooked pie.
