Paying It Forward For Athalea Jones

My mother had a stroke March 16th. After two surgeries & a brief stay in a nursing facility, I, as her daughter & caregiver, chose to take her home where she would receive better care and rehab. We had to hire sitters to help me out as she has had to learn to talk and is working towards regaining the use of her right arm & leg, she is working on walking with a walker. She had taken 18-20 steps but has to have two people with her for safety. We have exhausted every penny we have and insurance does not cover "respite care".
Mom has always put others before herself. She now needs help but doesn't want to ask. I have no choice but to ask my friends and acquaintances for help. Any amount will help, no matter how small. It all adds up in the end and we would be forever grateful. Thank you in advance.
Our goal is that mom will be independent enough by February to live alone with limited help. Her care ranges 6-8 thousand a month for sitters. It's sad that you give to others and work your whole life only to have a medical condition that drains your retirement in a few short months.
