My name is Fred, and I need your help.
For over 30 years, I have been spending my free nights and weekends, helping hundreds of friends and family members with their car repairs. I have assisted them with everything from new brakes to new engines, and I have rarely, if ever, charged them for my time. I believe fully in paying it forward, and I have spent these decades making sure these folks have reliable vehicles to get them to their jobs and home to their families. For me, it's not about the money. It's about the helping hand.
But at the age of 54, I've come to realize these old bones just don't work like they used to. And having to crawl under jacked-up autos or dig inside to rebuild engines with the light from my garage, just isn't going to help me to help them. Add to that the increasing digital technology these new cars are equipped with requires running diagnostic testing and software that I just don't have access to. Working on these cars has become more than a weekend hobby and way to help these people... it's become my way of life, and one I want to continue to do. For them. And for me.
So as a proud man that has never asked for help before, I know there comes a time when the kindness of others must come into play. And that's where you come in. I have created a modest monetary goal to help create a garage that is equipped with the necessary tools to continue my passion for helping others. A garage that will help me to keep costs down for the poor soul that needs their vehicle to stay on the road. A garage that will help me to help them.
