Alfie's Emergency Treatment Fund

Donation protected
Alfie was found abandoned in a property that was vacated a fortnight earlier.

We'd been working towards rehoming him however he became poorly (likely through stress). We took him straight to the vet who diagnosed Alfie with a blocked bladder - this is fatal if not treated. Alfie had 2 operations to catheterise him and spent many nights at the vet for fluids, monitoring and tests. He was not able to pee after this so he needed to be expressed and also had his bladder needled (to take out the fluids). The cost of Alfie's treatment and care up to this point, including vet bills and other items we needed to purchase for him, was around £2000.

The above treatment proved futile so Alfie was referred to a specialist veterinary hospital where he received expert care. He spent 10 days receiving treatment before he was discharged to our care on Saturday 25 March. The bill for his stay is estimated to be around £1500.
Since GoFundMe and Stripe take around 8% of donations our fund is almost maxed out. Alfie needs specialist urinary food (Royal Canin urinary wet), urinary supplements (cystophan), worming (they noticed he had a tapeworm on discharge) and eventually neutering. We also need to get him insured. In addition, he is still leaking urine so could potentially need follow-up veterinary treatment.

ANYTHING you can donate would go towards giving this floofball a new life as Conrad's brother (@thatcatconrad).

Thank you SO much in advance for all your love and generosity and for giving this boy a chance to have a wonderful new life!
