Hello and thank you for your interest in my fundraising efforts. I am looking to raise funds to help me reach my goal of running a marathon on every continent. So far for this goal I have crossed off North America but I will also be crossing off Europe in April 2020 by completing the Connemarathon in Galway, Ireland. My next stops after this will be South America and Antarctica in January 2021 through Marathon Adventures and those are the runs that I am currently raising funds to support. Primarily, any funds raised will go directly towards the tour costs set by Marathon Adventures but in addition they will also help mitigate the costs of training materials such as shoes, clothes, and nutrition supplements. Any excess funds raised will help to continue my goal and will be put towards the remaining continents of Asia, Africa, and Australia.
In addition to helping me fund my travels, I decided that I couldn't do a fundraiser without including a charitable contribution. I've decided that 25% of any funds raised will be given to Hackers for Charity. Full details about who Hackers for Charity are and what they do can be found on their website: www.hackersforcharity.org. The reason that I chose them as an organization to support is that as a cyber security professional I constantly deal with the association of cyber security=hacking=bad and HFC does a spectacular job of highlighting all the good that hackers can and are doing in the world.

The first event will be a euchre tournament on February 21st at 7pm at Olentangy River Brewing Company. Entry cost will be $25 per person, prizes are TBD. The second event will be a March Madness bracket contest, more details to follow.
