Kisses for Christopher

Though this is hard to write, I must tell his story. My wife and I are raising my three grandchildren. Christopher is the middle child and he is one and a half years old. He’s a child that is full of life, always laughing and giving kisses. He loves kisses from everyone so much that my wife gave him the nickname of Kisstopher. On July 3rd, he suffered a near drowning and is now in a coma.  We found a treatment for him that will be 40 -80 treatments that will cost $7500.00 - $15,000.00 and is not covered by insurance.  The treatment is called they hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the chamber.  This has worked on other kids to help them recover.  He has been able to move his hands a little, open his eyes partial.
We continue to pray for his recovery and ask you to do the same.

His older brother, misses him terribly the three of them need to be back with each other.  His older brother  who is three and half, needs his little brother back. The two of them would never be a part. If one would wake up from his nap, they would go wake the other. Playing with their mega blocks, play house, cars or whatever the two could find to do. Christopher’s older brother, Alexzander, would teach him everything and he would tell you “that’s my baby!”.

Alexzander has always been a cleaver child and he knows that his little brother could get away with things he might get a time out for. He knows we don’t like him dropping his toys behind our bed so as clever as the two are, Alexzander would hand the toys to Christopher and tell him to drop them. When you would ask him to stop, he would tell you, ”I am not doing it, Christopher is” then they would both start laughing and run off to play with their toys. Alexzander has always been very protective of his little brother. He just wants him to wake up so they can play some more.

My wife and I would give the world for these babies. Anything we needed to do, we do. From taking different shifts at work, working extra hours, anything just for them. They are the world to us. During this time, we have both taken a leave of absence from our jobs to be with Christopher. We, like most families, live paycheck to paycheck. We ask that during this time if you can donate to help with expenses to cover the basic living bills and the extra medical so we can spend all of our time here with him. I also ask that if you can please say a prayer for Kisstopher to please come out of this coma and to get better.

We will be posting updates as we get them on Christopher to let everyone know how he is doing. He is receiving some of the best around the clock care at UMC Children’s Hospital here in Las Vegas.

Please say a prayer for Kisstopher and ask everyone you know to do so as well. Please post, tell, send, call or anything else you can think of to let people know about Christopher so they can pray as well. He is the love of our lives and we need him to pull through this.
