Kira's Journey.

My Name is Kira, I am 4 years old. I’ve been having lots of pain and have been very ill since September. My mommy and daddy has been taking me back-and-forth to Sioux Falls and also to the Brookings Hospital since September trying to figure out what’s the cause of the symptoms but, unfortunately nobody knew. On December 30, 2020 I was diagnosed with (ALL) leukemia which is a form of cancer. I’ve been admitted to the Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls and I am still here we’re unsure when i’ll be able to go home and join my family. I’ve had two different surgeries and I am now receiving chemotherapy. The doctor says I have a rare case. He says that there is more cancer cells in my spin than usual so I’m going to have to receive chemo therapy  & radiation for the next 2 years once or twice a week in Sioux Falls. My mom and dad is having a hard time getting back-and-forth from Sioux Falls to Brookings everyday as we live in brookings and she has three other children who needs her as well. She can not work right now due to this horrible situation. My mommy and daddy is doing her best. I will beat this because the lord is my savior but, for now we are running low on funds at this time. I’m asking if there’s anybody that can help our family we’d greatly appreciate it. If you are unable to help we ask for all the prayers that we can get at this time. Thank You!
