FUNDRAISING STORY ANITA & GRAHAM TWITCHELL

In September 2019 we will have been married for 50 years. Also in December 2019 Anita will be 70 years old. To celebrate these milestones we are having a party for Family and Friends.

We do not need presents as we have all that we need at the moment. Instead we would prefer anyone who wants to buy us something to make a donation to our fund to help two sports teams that are close to our hearts.

This would give us more pleasure knowing that we could help two sports organisations that Sarah,  Paul and their Families are involved with.

Sarah Gareth Alex and Ben have been involved with Kingston Kayak Club for many years. Sarah and Gareth have had many roles over the years as Alex and Ben learnt how to swim and paddle then how to play Canoe Polo at the Albert Avenue Hull swimming pool. Sarah helps with pool control and collecting the subs and Gareth coaches the team and arranges the tournaments that the team goes to. Alex no longer plays as he lives in London and is busy making a life for himself there. Ben has progressed through the youth teams and is now a member of the Great Britain youth development team. They have recently played in the Liverpool International Canoe polo competition and came second in their section. The youths who play for KKC Youth Polo team are now growing and have outgrown their Buoyancy Aids. We would like to donate some money to the team towards some new equipment.

Paul Cindy and William have been involved with volleyball teams since Paul was chosen to represent Great Britain in the Invictus Games in Sydney in 2018. He was in the final with the Sitting Volleyball team who came second and all won a Silver Medal. Paul was in the RAF for 22 years and has PTSD after serving in Iraq three times. Cindy is helping Paul through this and William 8 has also helped Paul by just being there for him. Being involved with the Invictus teams has been a great help towards his recovery. He is now involved with Telford Volleyball Club and is encouraging disadvantaged and disabled members to join the club. Paul is also coaching the members. They want to have teams for able and disabled players to play sitting volleyball. A donation to the club would help them pay for the use of the hall they use and also to buy equipment.
