Hey all!
My name is David Kinch, I am 20 years old and I am very excited about the opportunity I have to travel with the international group, Up With People, in January of 2018. Up With People is a non-profit organization bringing hundreds of young adults together each year from countries around the globe to travel the world, perform and engage in unique cultures, give back to communities through community service, grow as individuals, inspire hope in rural and urban cities and much more. I graduated from High School in 2015 with an IB Diploma and went to Grand Canyon University in AZ for my Freshman year of college, studying Business Management. I've taken the past year and a half off of school to work and find out more about myself and what I want to do in life. I've gained valuable experience from working as an Operations Supervisor in Commerce City, CO at UPS, but I am now looking towards the future and a new chapter in my life for the opportunity for personal growth and the chance to make a positive impact in our world. I have researched many opportunities, and have found Up With People to be the most inspiring avenue that includes music, travel, community involvement, and the message of hope.
I've always been very inclined to pursue an aspect of life involving music and travel, but haven't found or researched an avenue as inspiring as Up With People; even the thought of being able to experience this makes me delighted and full of anticipation.
My mother, Kelly, traveled with UWP for many years and has said numerous times that it was one of the greatest, most impactful times of her life in terms of who she is today. I'm intrigued and excited to experience this opportunity for myself, and am asking for your support to make this a reality this upcoming January. Each student is responsible for raising their own tuition for the program and I have put together several ways for you to be involved. Since I was five, I've had a passion for singing and drawing, and I wanted to somehow incorporate that into my fund raising efforts as well.

1. $0-$50 = A thank you note with a picture from one of the cities I traveled to
OR
1. Any donation amount - thank you note, because I appreciate any contribution!
2. $50 = A sounvenier and collection of pictures/ memories I made in a city of your choice that I travel to (If you would like to sponsor a specific week/ destination I'll be at, I'll post the locations we're going to once I know them and focus the pictures and experience on that week, host family and culture!)
3. $75 = An international cook book compiled of recipes gathered from my host families around the world (with their permission, of course).
4. $100 = A high quality print of one of the drawings I'll have available (will be uploading pictures of what I create and what will be available very soon).
If you aren't interested in receiving a drawing or souvenir and just want to donate, message me, but know that I appreciate your gift as much as any other! I'm really ecstatic about this opportunity to learn more about the world and its people and who I can impact and it would mean the world to me if you could help me achieve this.
