With a heavy heart, our family asks for your help. My mother, Kimberly Lynn Wagner, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 20th at 11:45pm. She was in and out of the hospital for multiple reasons, and the last time she was in the hospital, was for 5 weeks straight. We were expecting her to get better, and to walk out, until the last week, when her liver failure began to affect her kidneys, and they began to fail too. At that point, we were praying for and knowing only a miracle would save her. God decided that her healing and peace wouldn’t be in the form of getting up and walking out of the hospital. He had other plans.

She was a mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister and the love of someone’s life.  She had the biggest heart and would have helped anyone in need.  She always had room in her heart for every animal she came across, which is a trait she passed on to her daughters.  She was a phenomenal cook, our goof ball during holidays, and always made the room brighter.  My mother will surely be missed by more than just our family. It’s evident by the amount of love that people are showing, that she has friends who she has made a major impact in their life.

As you can imagine, our family is grieving right now and no one imagined that we would lose our mother so soon. So, we were blind sighted by this horrible situation and had no way to prepare for it.  Anything you can contribute would help tremendously. There was no life insurance, so this is a huge need of ours. All items donated will go directly to memorial costs.

Thank you so much for your support. Every little bit is greatly appreciated.

I want to share an excerpt from the book “Crazy Love” by Francis Chan.

Risk Takers pg 133

Haven’t we all prayed the following prayer? Lord, we pray for safety as we travel. We ask that no one gets hurt on this trip. Please keep everyone safe until we return, and bring us back safely. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen. The exact wording may vary a bit, but that is the standard prayer we recite before leaving on mission trips, retreats, vacations, and business trips.

We are consumed by safety. Obsessed with it, actually. Now, I’m not saying it is wrong to pray for God’s protection, but I am questioning how we’ve made safety our highest priority. We’ve elevated safety to the neglect of whatever God’s best is, whatever would bring God the most glory, or whatever would accomplish His purposes in our lives and in the world.

Would you be willing to pray this prayer? God, bring me closer to You during this trip, whatever it takes….

People who are obsessed with
Jesus aren’t consumed with their
personal safety and comfort above
all else. Obsessed people care
more about God’s kingdom coming
to this earth than their own lives
being shielded from pain or
distress.

My prayer is that God uses this situation for good, and may we all come to realize that we might not see it now, but that God has a bigger and better plan to use this for his glory, and may we be open to that plan!

We encourage you to leave a happy memory that you have with mom in the comments below.
