Kimberly Ward Memorial Fund

Gone far too soon. Many of you are in mourning for our friend, Kimberly Ward aka @pinkeggshell. I first met Kim on Twitter and later migrated over to Facebook, real life, phone calls, etc. I had talked to her months ago but did not know she had cancer. I was shocked and saddened by her passing and wish I just had more time to chat with her or to hear her laugh. 


Not only was Kim a talented interior designer but also a teacher and mentor to so many as well as the founder of Black Interior Designer Network and their annual conference, a legacy that will continue, as was her wish. 

Kimberly was an absolute icon. She was passionate and fierce with such amazing drive but also took the time to be real with you, inspire your, or just make make you laugh when you needed it most. 

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and especially to her beautiful daughter, Skylar. 

Many of you reached out to see how you might be able to help and so we created this Memorial Fund for her daughter who will be in the care of her aunt Tony. While it took a little prodding to get her to accept a fund like this for Skylar, Tony made it known she really would like all of your thoughts and prayers.  

Every donation you give, no matter how small will help provide comfort and ease to a young girl who lost her mother. 

With all Kimberly gave back into the world, it feels really good to give back to someone so special and so deserving.
