KIMBERLY MILTON, Opera Singer, Needs YOUR Support

Dear Friends: I am on the verge of accomplishing my life’s dream of a career in the world of opera. Toward that goal, I am finishing my Master’s degree in Vocal Performance at Valdosta State University and have been accepted into this summer’s program at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria. Considered the leading European summer vocal program, the AIMS mission is to bridge the gap between fine musical training and a career in music, providing intensive instruction, professional career strategy and networking opportunities.

While in Europe I intend to take the opportunity to participate in another outstanding program – the Mozarteum in Salzburg. I cannot overstate the advantage these programs can provide in professional development and opportunity. In addition to my graduate studies I have spent these past two years auditioning, competing and performing all over the country. I intend to continue those activities, as well as a week of study in New York once I return from Europe – all in the effort of establishing my reputation with opera companies nationally and abroad.

All of these necessary efforts in pursuing my career path will be extremely financially demanding, beyond what I am personally able to assume. I am humbly asking for help in funding these pursuits.
