Earlier this past February, my mother was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. It came as a shock to us all, especially because she had previously biopsied the same area a year and a half ago and was told it was benign and nothing to worry about. TNBC can be more aggressive and the doctors took it very seriously. She had a mastectomy at the end of April, and started chemo about 5 weeks later. The goal set is only half of what her deductible and copays will accumulate to. The emotional and physical stress cancer treatment has on a person is tremendous.
