Kim’s Cancer Journey
In November of 2022 Kim was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. She had an 8 hour whipples surgery in December of that year to remove her tumour and some positive lymph nodes. In late January 2023 Kim started chemotherapy which took her up until the end of August of that year. In December 2023 Kim was told her cancer has spread through the bloodstream and into her liver. Kim will start chemo in early January 2024 for a period of 6 months and will be monitored by scans in 3 months. If the chemo works well Kim has been given 1-2 years to live and if she doesn’t respond well then she is looking at a few short months at best.
Kim will not accept this diagnosis and is looking at alternative and holistic therapies.
This is where Hope4cancer in Mexico comes into the equation. This centre focusses on targeting the cancer cells and stopping the spread and growth using natural therapies. They focus on the mind, body and spirit and have had some inspiring success stories.
Kim knows she won’t be here forever but she wants to be here for much longer than what her oncologist has advised. She is determined to fight this nasty disease. Pancreatic cancer is a silent cancer with no symptoms and is often detected when it’s too late with a very low survival rate.
If you would like to support Kim on her journey to get to Mexico then your donation is appreciated. Every dollar counts. Keep Kim in your prayers and support her in the biggest fight of her life!
