Kim’s Cancer Journey

In November of 2022 Kim was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer. She had an 8 hour whipples surgery in December of that year to remove her tumour and some positive lymph nodes. In late January 2023 Kim started chemotherapy which took her up until the end of August of that year. In December 2023 Kim was told her cancer has spread through the bloodstream and into her liver. Kim will start chemo in early January 2024 for a period of 6 months and will be monitored by scans in 3 months. If the chemo works well Kim has been given 1-2 years to live and if she doesn’t respond well then she is looking at a few short months at best.

Kim will not accept this diagnosis and is looking at alternative and holistic therapies.
