Kilometres for Corey
Donation protected
Dear School Community member,
Towards the end of the previous school year, a young Transition Year student was left paralysed following a freak accident. Corey Prendergast, 17, was playing with his friends when he suffered a severe spinal injury. As he begins his recovery journey, Corey is currently undergoing treatment in the National Rehabilitation Hospital, Dún Laoghaire, Dublin.
To help provide some financial support for Corey and his family, our School community is to embark on a whole school fundraising walk on Friday, the 21st of October. All of the details are on the attached publicity poster. In conjunction with the walk, we have opened a GoFundMe page to enable community members to contribute to this worthy cause.
Please consider donating what you can; even a tiny amount helps. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated, and we thank you for taking the time to read this correspondence.
Thank you in advance for all your support
