Kiki Terry Funeral/Sarah's College

In the final week of August, 2017, Kinsley (Kiki) Terry left this earthly existence and returned to the open arms of her Heavenly Father. She was surrounded by family and close friends at the veterans hospital that she had great deal of reverence and respect for. Kiki spent her life in various countries both foreign and domestic.  She had a deep gratitute for the brave souls who served this country.  There wasn't any military personnel she met that she did not share a few pleasant words with. She spent 21 years of her life after high school serving the Army and was decorated with multiple medals for her excellence, retiring as a Senior Staff Sargent.   After over 2 decades of service to the Army she retired from that capacity, but still kept her focus on helping and protecting others. She used her remarkable skill-set as an educator. When she found a student who needed her help, the commitment and persistence she learned in the military came shining through. In her free time she enjoyed curling up with a good book, cooking the most exquisite foods, maintaining her relationship with God, and teaching her daughter compassion through selfless love.
In the final stage of her life it became apparent that the lungs that she had weren't going to be big enough for the exceedingly high goals she had set for herself. She had undergone many tests and was working diligently to get another set of lungs to regain her full health. 
Most recently, Kiki was not able to get out of the house because of how  short of breath she was.  Breath however, was the ONLY thing she was short on. She loved deeply, talked often, and smiled always. Kiki had many full chapters in her book of life, very few people have accomplished becoming a veteran, a teacher, an advocate for her tutoring students, and most importantly as a loving mother. A lung transplant was ultimately not possible due to medical complications that arose the week she was establishing her place on the national donor waiting list.

She leaves behind a beautiful and intelligent daughter who was raised looking up to the best role model that anyone could ask for.

If you know Kiki, you also know that she would have never asked for anything, and it would be difficult, if not impossible, to get her to accept something she felt she hadn't earned. Knowing her, you would also know that she was a private person, and she wouldn't want anyone to feel sorry for her. She was full aware of the magnitude of strength she had. 

So many people have expressed a concern to help with some of the services that need to be paid for, and other miscellaneous expenses that are required to settle her estate. A few dollars goes a long way to let her family focus on the grieving process and not the dollar aspect. This go fund me has been set up to let people contribute to the immediate items that need to be taken care of this month.

Kiki was the first person to contribute to the well being of others, when she did, she made a point to do so anonymously. To honor her perfect example, we prefer donations remain anonymous.
Any remaining proceeds from this fund will be used to pay for her daughter Sarah's education.
