Mike and Paige have a incredible opportunity... one they feel like they have been created to do.
Apartment Life is a ministry that allows couples to live in an apartment community and share the Gospel with their neighbors by planning events and doing everyday life with them. In exchange for sharing Christ and building community, they'll recieve a FREE apartment. Their apartment complex will have higher retention rates from their tenants and Mike and Paige get to know their neighbors and share Jesus with them! Win win!
If you know anything about Mike and Paige, it's that they deeply love Jesus and throwing parties. It's truly an opportunity they would do anyway!
Currently Paige stays at home with Zao but does odd jobs to give them more wiggle room in their very tight budget. They live simply and deeply desire to keep doing so. Signing on with Apartment Life allows Paige to completely stay at home with Zao and gives them more room in their budget to give more to those in need around them.
I know you're thinking if it's free why do you need funding? Moving expenses and initial start up costs are expensive. When they moved from Washington to Tennessee they saved a great chunk and did it all in cash. But it drained every bit of cushion they had. Their savings took a massive hit.
They'll need to break lease which is really expensive. Their lease won't allow them to have someone sublet and the lease manager isn't budging on the fees, understandably. Apartment Life also requires a $500 deposit to be a part of the ministry.
This is where you guys come in. We deeply know that Christ called us out of Spokane and into Murfreesboro. Time and time again Jesus has provided and we're asking you to be part of it this time around!
All in all it's going to cost us $2,200 to move to our new place. That covers all the fees and allows us to start by 3/1/2015. We need $500 before we can even proceed with the Apartment life process.
We know $2,200 is a lot of money. We know each of you works so incredibly hard for each dime you make. Most mission trips cost that much for 2 weeks! We're asking help for our two year commitment! That's not a lot considering how long we'll be doing Apartment Life at minimum!
We would love to talk more about this amazing path we're on! Man, we are thrilled to be doing this and want you to join in on all the excitement!
