Brighter Futures: Expanding Horizons for Refugee Children with KidsRainbow
Kids Rainbow is opening a second center in Gaziantep. We need your help to keep growing up! Join our effort for the refugee community in Türkiye.
Kids Rainbow offers non-formal education activities for 150 refugee children in Gaziantep. Our center is a safe space for learning in a joyful environment, something that should be guaranteed for every child.
Our laboratories focus on languages, Arabic, Turkish and English, and recreational activities like art, theater, cinema, and even crochet! Some of the children do not have access to school and especially for them Kids Rainbow is not only an educational space, but most importantly a protected environment for playing and learning with peers to overcome social marginalization.
Empowerment and resilience for children’s wellbeing starts from the families. With our activities we regularly welcome more than 100 mothers in raising awareness sessions about child protection principles and practices, alongside psycho-social support.
In 2023, Kids Rainbow stood strong through two devastating earthquakes that claimed over 50,000 lives in Türkiye and Syria. During the emergency we provided shelter, meals, and hygiene kits to displaced families. Today, we continue to support refugees who have relocated to Gaziantep, offering a welcoming community to rebuild their lives.
We currently operate on our maximum capacity, but we have more than 300 children and families in the waiting list, and we want to expand our services for them. With your donations you can help us grow and make a difference.
