Hi everyone!
I can't tell you all how much it lifted me up to receive the financial support you gave so that I could establish my home-based contract resume writing business. I have a couple of clients and they send me customers who need resumes. Today, I've decided to move forward in communicating with you about my kidney health journey.
I recently received a radiology report that confirmed that there was surgical material left “surrounding the upper and mid pole of my transplant kidney” believed to be a surgical sponge. My transplant surgery was almost 9 years ago. Since my transplant surgery in 2011, I have made approximately 500 visits to hospital facilities, over 30 emergency-room visits, had (5) biopsies of the transplanted kidney, (3) MRIs, CT Scans, multiple x-rays, and at least 5 hospital stays.
None of which resulted in the revelation of surgical material being left inside my body until now. With that said, I'm focusing my efforts on receiving appropriate consultation on how to surgically remove the sponge and I'm searching for a living kidney donor to receive a kidney transplant. A campaign has been created for me and I thank God every day. It's called "Kidney for Candace," the primary reason why we're moving with purpose once again.
Since 2014, I've been back on dialysis patiently waiting for another kidney. The first time I was on dialysis, starting in 2005, I was released from my job as a proposal writer. The insurance plan dropped me. My husband divorced me and I had to move back home with my mother and father.
I allowed my life to come to a complete stop in every way. I lost skills and contacts, but most of all I lost courage and hope. This time around I'm making a push toward answers, healing, and relief. To be clear, no one can know the mind of God except that He reveals it. I don't know specifically what will happen next but I understand that there is not one aspect of my journey that He is not intimately aware of.
