I am creating this fundraiser for my husband, Kong Xiong, for his transplant medical needs. If it were up to him, he probably would never create something like this to ask for your help and support but more than ever, he needs your help. He is one of the most loving and hard working person I know and he’d give you the shirt off his back if you were in trouble. I'm not saying this because I'm being biased but seriously if you know him, I think you would agree. We know everyone has bills and priority needs but we are asking for your help.
Back in August of 2015, my husband was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease – End State Renal Disease. Basically, his kidneys are no longer able to filter his blood of toxins, and he needs dialysis treatment 3 times a week, 4 hours each time to live. Currently, dialysis is his lifeline. However, each dialysis treatment takes a toll on his body, so we need to get him a kidney transplant as soon as possible.
The best option is for him to get a kidney transplant. As we are excited that he will be on the transplant list, the cost of the kidney transplant is extremely expensive. As far as we know, insurance only covers a portion of the expenses, and the rest is out-of-pocket. The anti-rejection drugs after the kidney transplant are extremely expensive as well. The donations gathered through this fundraiser will go to his medical bills.
Therefore, we ask our family and friends, and anyone with a kind and giving heart, to help donate for his kidney transplant. Any donation, no matter how large or small, is greatly appreciated. We will forever be grateful for your donation. Even a word of encouragement or support is greatly appreciated as well.
In case you or you know someone that would like to donate your kidney, you can reach out to us or if you like more information and be anonymous, you can call 1-800-333-9013. Your entire medical and travels don't cost you anything. The average wait on a diseased donor takes about 5-10 years to get a kidney
. Twenty two people die each day waiting
for a transplant, and 100,000 Americans are waiting for a kidney transplant.
We ask that if you come across this fundraiser campaign, please at the very least, share his story so we can reach as many people as possible. We are thankful for everyone's support and words for encouragement.
On behalf of myself and Kong, we can't thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts!!!
