Kidney surgery Kellogg's layoff

At the same time of my August 22 surgery , I will be getting laid off ,as part of the nationwide Kellogg's downsizing, and will be loosing my health benefits soon after operation . My recovery should be 2-3 weeks and I'm sure ill have a job soon after . Problem is after my lay off I will be surrendering my company box truck and my only mode of transportation. I'm looking for a little help paying for a cheap used car and financing my short term layoff so I'm not forced to move while in the midst of my recovery.
