Kidney For Holly

On October 8th, in Newport, RI I’m dedicating my 1st half marathon  run to my dear friend Holly. She is a caring wife, and mom that is loved by many. Holly developed an autoimmune disease called Wegener’s Granulomatosis. Her particular illness has attacked her lungs and kidneys. Holly has had a portion of her lung removed. In early October, she will receive a kidney transplant which is being donated by one of her best friends. This fundraiser is to help with the out-of-pocket expenses that Holly and her family will incur, such as, prescriptions, co-pays, travel expenses and lodging (her appointments and operation is out of state). I’d like for Holly and her family to focus on her full recovery from this transplant operation, and not have to worry about medical expenses.
