I'm getting my kidney!

Hi, Everyone. A few years ago I was told that I should stop having babies because my kidneys were in a bad way. I was never concerned about them and was never really pushed to seek further treatment. Well, this last pregnancy is when everything came to light for me. I was referred to a nephrologist and was told I am in stage 5 kidney failure, or better known as ESRD (end stage renal disease). I have been proactively taking medication to bring my blood pressure down and attending all of my necessary appointments. I recently started the process of becoming a part of 'the list' which would help me find a donor. This requires time and money. While I have placed a nifty goal, it will go towards my travel, medication, and my hopefully living donor's expenses. While a living donor is my best shot at having a more fulfilled life, I know I cannot expect anyone to just give up a kidney. If someone were to be my living donor, they would pay nothing. I would pay for all expenses (medical and personal including food, lodging, etc). I would hope that if you don't donate, that at least you spread the word. My story my touch someone in a special way.  Maybe someone I have never met before. This is why I am taking any chance I can to get my story out.

My situation is fragile and it is only a matter of time before I am on dialysis.  From there I am not sure what the future holds.
