Kicking Out Kidney Disease With Kevyn

Everyone who meets Kevyn immediately reacts to his positive manner and enthusiasm for everyday life. He is a constant reminder of what is good about this world. He is the friend, coworker, support person, cousin, brother, and son that everyone adores and loves.
After his dose of shingles in July, this past August revealed a major turnaround in his health. At only 26 years old, Kevyn found out that his Kidney disease (Alport syndrome) progressed to stage 5, and that there was little to no hope in recovering without the extensive and severe option of dialysis and surgery. He has been through countless hospital visits and doctor examinations since then. Most recently, it has been concluded that he is now in Stage 5 and will need dialysis starting in April of 2020. After dialysis, a kidney transplant will be needed.
However, despite his world turning upside down, Kevyn was able to continue with his normal activities: being a student, working full time at the hospital, caring for his four legged furry son - Shady Slim, playing soccer weekly; all while keeping the same positive personality we all know him for.
