ABOUT TEAM SESTRO
For Darren & Emma it was love at first sight. Meeting 30 years ago they were high school sweethearts & have been inseparable ever since. They have 2 wonderful sons, Joshua (15) & Luke (13). Daz runs his own Landscaping business & Emma works for QLD Health. Life is good!
BACKGROUND
In early 2012 Team SESTRO received the devastating news that Darren had stage 4 Testicular Cancer. This shocking news turned this happy families world completely upside down. Daz underwent immediate surgery & months of gruelling treatments in their fight to kick cancers butt! Their fight was successful & they received the all clear at the 5 year check!
CURRENT SITUATION
Just 1 short year after the 5 year check Team SESTRO received the shocking news that Darren has Bowel Cancer....the doctors found a large tumour in Dazs bowel that requires radium, surgery & months of gruelling & costly treatments. To say this family was in shock is an understatement. However they have once again shown unwavering strength & determination to kick cancers butt for the 2nd time.
OUR ASK
I am left with the feeling of “I wish I could do more” & “How can I help” every time I speak to the beautiful Emma (the rock who’s strength is powerful, admirable & unwavering) & I am certain many of you that have had the privilege to know this awesome family would feel the same so I have set up this GoFundMe page to give us a way to provide support. Team SESTRO are facing this gigantic battle ahead & if together we can raise funds to ease some burden & allow this beautiful family to focus on KICKING CANCERS BUTT - TAKE 2
