Everyone has heard of Harvey. Many have heard of the tremendous loss of Kingwood High School. Many have stepped up and many are already doing so much.
But the need is still more....
Kingwood High School wrestling, just barely out of the infancy stage of the program, lost everything. They lost their wrestling mats (14,000 for one mat), team headgear, singlets, team sweats, shorts, and shirts, tournament windsuits, wrestling shoes, and even their special awards. Nothing was salvagable. Devestating.
The loss to the school and all sports is astronomical. There is no way the district or this heavily hit community, can possibly begin to recover all that was lost on our own. There fore, we are reaching out to you, whoever you are, wherever you are.
This program is only five years old, but it is filled with love and dedication from coaches, wrestlers, families, and fans. We all know the life lessons learned on the mat are lessons that prepare these kids far beyond the mat! These lessons will build grit and determination that is carried throughout life.
They have lost so much already. We just can't let them lose their wrestling program this year in the process.
We need you . WE NEED YOU!
We are asking everyone to give what you can and share with everyone you know. We have six weeks before the season (November 1st) and as of right now, we have nothing for these kids or coaches to begin again. Will you join us? Will you link arms and give hope back to a pretty hopeless situation? They can't attend their school, but with your help, they can still be a team.
Every amount matters. Please joine us and spread the word.
