Khaleesi Marie Cortez

Hello Everybody,

We are starting a GoFundMe Page due to a lot of issues arising for our babygirl Khaleesi Marie Cortez. About 2 months ago she was diagnosed with HLHS (Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome) with Ventricular Septal Defect which is a very serious heart condition. Drs are giving her a 50/50 chance on survival at the moment. She will have to undergo 3 open chest heart surgeries which the first one will happen anywhere from her being 3-10 days old. It’s called the Norwood surgery which is in fact an actual open heart surgery to assist with her not having any of the left side of her heart formed. Because of all of this they are requiring me to deliver her at the Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston due to them being the #1 in the country for these procedures as well as how severe her condition is. Due to this I’m having to relocate to Houston by November 6th and will be out there until I deliver her as well as 6 weeks after minimum due to her recovery being that long from the heart surgery. This has been so much for us to take in and handle especially knowing that we still have our bills to pay here in San Antonio. We are just asking for any kind of donations to assist with the hotel expenses, food accommodations and transportation while I’ll be out there. I’ll be out there for thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years and I’m hoping to be back by Valentine’s Day but only our baby girls recovery will tell how soon I’ll be able to come back home. We have faith that our babygirl is going to be our little fighter and will make it home eventually to meet everyone but until then we are just trying to come up with the money to make sure we can survive during this tough time.
