This is Freddie J. He is our 5 year old Chocolate Lab, and we consider him a member of our family. He is our fur-baby whom we have raised since he was 3 months old. We recently found out that he has bone cancer. Right now it is a small tumor on his leg that is causing him to limp. However, we were told by his vet and a specialist that it will get bigger and more painful if left untreated. We were also told that this type of cancer is very aggressive and if left untreated and he would no longer be with us in 6-8 months. This news came to us at an extremely difficult time. We have recently suffered a death in the family and are expecting our first human baby on the 28th of January.
We are asking for help to fund the surgery needed to amputate his left front leg to rid him of the tumor. It will not cure him completely, he will need chemo therapy after he is healed from the surgery, but getting rid of the tumor will increase his life expectancy for up to 5 more years. He is still a spry, spunky, effectionate and sometimes extremely obnoxious (when he wants something) pup. We want him to have the highest qulaity of life for as long as possible. We look forward to him being a big brother very soon. Every penny will help our pup, and we are grateful for everything and anything.
