Don protégé
I am asking you to consider helping my younger brother Don Roof and his family in a time of great need.
They need help to pay medical bills related to a chronic debilitating medical condition and recent emergency surgery. More urgently, they need help in keeping their home in the wake of foreclosure proceedings.
A five year battle with Parsonage-Turner Syndrome (PTS), an uncommon neurological disorder, has cost Don most of the use of his left arm and hand. The condition and chosen methods of treatment have left Don unable to continue his life's work repairing and servicing motorcycles and powersport vehicles.
Although Don does work in another field, he has since only been able to reach about 40% of his former income level.
Since the onset of (PTS) the family has struggled to make ends meet, falling farther and farther behind on their mortgage. Mediation and the like have bought them repreives in the past, but a hearing scheduled for Friday, February 13 will most likely finally result in eviction and full foreclosure.
To make matters worse, January 5 Don's Appendix ruptured due to Accute Appendicitis. Due to their sole automobile (which the bought new in 1989) being in a state of disrepair, and no money in the bank, Don put off medical getting medical attention until it was almost too late. Emergency surgery and a lenghty hospital stay ensued.
Don does not have medical insurance, disability insurance, or paid sick leave.
Just one more brick on the pile.
Don has always lived his life following The Golden Rule. He is a simple, humble, kind man, with unwaivering faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.
