Hello! My name is Tony Tinervia, and I was diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome at 58 years old. My entire life I have struggled with communication and anxiety, but I am out to prove that autism is only a disability as much as you allow it to disable you.
I have two major purposes in my life right now. One is to care for my mother. She is 90 years old and caring for her is one of my greatest joys. My other purpose is my biggest dream: my board game called “Keys to the Capitals.” Keys to the Capitals is a fun, colorful board game that helps children learn the capitals of all fifty states. The game is fun for the whole family and a great tool for children who prefer a hands-on learning experience.
Through this fundraiser, I am looking to donate one Keys to the Capitals game to a homeschooled child with autism in each state. That’s 50 games all together! Keys to the Capitals is ideal for teaching many special needs students because of its bright colors and hands-on nature. My goal is to help these children who may have trouble learning in a more traditional way.
The $2,000 I am asking for is the price for 50 Keys to the Capitals board games. So far, I have already passed out 7 games and am hoping to start the 43 more on July 4th. Please take the time and money to help out a special needs child in your state by donating to this GoFundMe! It would mean a lot to me and the 50 special needs students who will now have a new fun way to learn.
