Kevin’s Beautiful Nola
Donation protected
Many of you have been asking about Kevin’s dog Nola. Kevin was a long-time MB resident even before he lived on our streets and many of you were blessed to have had brief or lengthy conversations with him, and some of you were blessed to have developed relationships with him. He and Nola touched many people before his death this week.
Nola now has a foster mom and foster babysitters who ensure that she has a human being with her 24/7. She is confused, whimpers a lot and doesn’t settle down much right now as she seems to always be searching for Kevin. You can imagine how traumatizing Kevin’s absence is for this sweet dog who has literally been carried by Kevin for years every hour of every day.
Unfortunately, Nola had not received health care over the years. She is 12 years old and 6 pounds (ideal weight about 8-9 pounds).
Many of you have asked how you can help. Right now, the most urgent need is for donations to be made to Manhattan Beach Animal Hospital to allow us to cover Nola’s urgent medical care. The foster mom & babysitters are covering the other costs. Can you help?
***Nola is in urgent need of dental surgery due to infection and this will be a significant cost, even with the amazing discount the vet is giving us. Other than this, so far she appears to be quite healthy. Lab work is due back tomorrow and we will keep everyone updated.
