Kevin was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on Thursday June 13th. AML is a cancer of the myeloid line of blood cells, characterized by the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells that accumulate in the bone marrow and interfere with the production of normal blood cells. Kevin has a particularly aggressive form of AML with a FLT3-ITD gene mutation.
Kevin just completed his second course of aggressive chemotherapy at City of Hope. The goal is to get Kevin into remission so that he may receive a necessary bone marrow transplant. If the latest round of chemotherapy did not destroy all the the cancer cells, it will be necessary for him to undergo another round of chemo in the hospital.
Kevin's kind spirit and passion for life are contagious. He lights up any room he enters. Kevin is known for his gregarious personality and his can do attitude. Kevin has impacted the lives of many in his work as an actor and producer, and as a professor at USC. He fights this battle with his wife, Lisa and his two children Jake (7) and Georgia (9) at his side.

If you would like to donate, we very much appreciate it as it helps to alleviate many stresses. The battle is expected to last up to a year and will require a bone marrow transplant. All donations will go towards treatments, therapy, out of pocket cancer-related expenses that aren't covered, high dose vitamins, supplements, super foods, cleansing/detoxifying, loss of income etc. These therapies help boost his cells with the nutrients it needs.
