It is with great sadness we inform you of the passing of Kevin last night. He will be missed. Not only was he a great leader for Scouting, a dedicated Cadet Parent in NJROTC, a wonderful family man but also a great friend. Please keep the Wilson family in your thoughts and prayers.
Kevin was diagnosed with CoVID and has been in the hospital, and in and out of ICU for over two weeks. He has suffered complications from pneumonia and tension pneumothorax and has been on supplemental breathing. Although there have been some positive changes in Kevin's health, he has a long road ahead. We are starting this fundraiser to assist a fellow scout's family through the recovery process. Any amount of help no matter how small is greatly appreciated!
Kevin Wilson, Scoutmaster Wilson, has been a huge influence in the lives of many boys in Boy Scout Troop 008. Kevin has helped them in every way possible, whether it was teaching them how to cook a meal on camping trips or guiding SPLs through leading the troop, communication, hiking and camping requirements, leading crews at high adventures trips, or just some fun movie suggestions. Kevin leads by example following the 12 points of the Scout Law.
Kevin is a loving husband and a dedicated father of three boys. He is married to his loving wife, Amy for 27 years and a proud parent of three NJROTC cadets, two of whom have already graduated from Lassiter High School. One of Kevin's sons has attended the University of North Georgia, U.S. Military Senior College and another one is currently serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. His youngest son is currently enrolled in NJROTC at Lassiter High School.
