Kerr’s Football Chair

My son Kerr (12) has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and uses a powered wheelchair. He has recently started playing Powerchair Football with Strathclyde Powerchair Football Club. He absolutely loves it! It’s a sport he can fully participate in, he plays against other wheelchair users so he isn’t the “odd one out”, and this is so freeing for him. Unfortunately, in order to progress in the sport and play competitively, he needs a proper football chair. These cost between £10k and £15k Just a little bit more than most kids football boots! We have applied to numerous charities for funding but have so far been unsuccessful. I will keep trying when other charities open their applications, but I will also try to raise funds in other ways with events and hopefully some business sponsorship This is where all donations and funds will be deposited until we raise enough for a chair.
