Kern County World War II Memorial

Tax deductible
Please help us honor "Kern County's Greatest Generation"
Deadline #1-Mid January, $120,000-ordering of specific time sensitive materials
Kern County currently does not have any memorials dedicated only to our local WWII Veterans and those who supported them. We plan to remedy this. The Kern County WWII Veterans Memorial is a 501(c)(3) that was established in 2021 to bring together dreams and efforts within the county to make this a timeless reality for us all.
Your donations here today will go directly towards our efforts to see this memorial become a reality. We have incremental goals for the design, purchasing and preparation of materials, preparation of the memorial site, installation of the memorial, dedication ceremony and subsequent endowment fund to cover future expenses for the memorial.
The committee's mission & vision is to serve our community with a beautiful memorial honoring Kern County WWII Veterans that will be a place of reverence, remembrance, and education for all who visit. All Kern County residents and visitors will benefit from this memorial. Currently the age of our WWII Veterans is between the mid 90’s to 100+ years of age. In order for them to enjoy this honor, completing this memorial in a timely manner is a top priority. We look forward to the WWII Memorial being a place of remembrance, an enrichment to our community, a place of learning, and a special place of honor to all of Kern County's World War II Veterans and those who supported the war efforts.
We currently have a tentative dedication goal date of Veterans Day 2022...Friday, November 11, 2022.
