Kerala Floods Disaster Relief
Donation protected
Dear friends,
Kerala, the southern most state of India, where our family is from, is experiencing the worst natural disaster in hundreds of years. The monsoons are leading to non-stop rainfall, leading to dams overflowing and most of the state is under water. People are losing their homes and stranded without water, electricity, food or medical help. The death toll has crossed 325 people. Almost 250,000 people are in rescue camps all over the state. The government help is just not enough and we need funds to resuscitate Kerala.
Kerala is home to 35 million people - so you can imagine how densely populated this state is and the living conditions right now.
If you know us, you know we are extremely proud Malayalees (a person from Kerala). It pains us to know that this state is under so much distress. We have friends and family who are caught up in this and would like to do what we can, in spite of being so far away in New York, Qatar, Oman and other parts of the world.
Please make a donation towards the cause and we will promptly transfer the funds over to an organization that is intimately involved in rescue efforts. Our aunt who is located in Cochin is doing a ton and we am working with her to help.
No donation is too big or too small, as you already know - we deeply appreciate the help!
Thank you!
