Kenya Valentine, 18, of Benton Harbor, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, July 6th. Tragically her mother, Joi Whaley Barnes, was killed in a car accident in January. Kenya was a 2017 graduate of Benton Harbor Countryside Charter and had recently enrolled at Southwestern Michigan College.
Funds are needed to help the remaining siblings transition. Sonia Wright McAfee, Administrative Assistant at Harbor Shores, is the legal guardian and grandmother of Jordan (16), Delrecco (14) and Brian (12). Any financial gift is sincerely appreciated as the family moves forward to face the future.
