Jewell to Counsel Kenya

Every Year Evangel University sends a team of 16 psychology seniors and counseling psychology graduate students to Nairobi, Kenya. This team is led by Dr. Grant Jones. During this trip, our team provides counseling services to various groups throughout Kenya. These men, women, and children come from Mathare Valley (one of Africa's largest slums). 

Shame and doubt can lead someone very far into many psychological and spiritual termoils. Because this is seen often in this area, our team will be providing these clinical and psychological services aimed at grief and trauma work, increasing self-esteem, and sharing the love of Christ to over 60 children in a Kenyan orphanage called Rhema House.
