SSA vs TOUGH MUDDER TO RAISE MONEY FOR CHAIRTY!
For the past few years SSA Recruitment has chosen to support the Kenya Education Endowment Fund (KEEF). So far we have been able to sponsor many students through their secondary school education and this year we have decided we would like to raise funds to educate a further 10 students.
Why we support this charity?
Secondary schools in Kenya include Forms 1 to 4, equivalent to our Grades 9 to 12. Tuition fees must be paid and all supplies must be provided. Most KEEF students attend boarding schools to maximise their educational opportunities, so school supplies include uniforms as well as a mattress, bedding, washing equipment and more. Students also need to buy text books and calculators. Without financial assistance, most of the students selected for KEEF scholarships would not continue to attend school.
Unlike other endeavours, almost 100% of the money raised goes directly to supporting the education of these children. There are minimal costs for an administrator and an office.
KEEF currently have 103 students being sponsored and at SSA Recruitment, we aim to help double this amount of students in the coming years.
So, our London team have decided a great way to start off the fundraising, would be to take on the Tough Mudder challenge in London this October. Completing this challenge is no easy feat. They will be running, climbing, swimming in ice and lastly electrocuted to get to the end.....and must complete it as a team!
