Kenny's Accident: Rehabilitation

My cousin, Kenny Forsman, was severely injured in a motorcycle accident September 6th. He was placed in a medically-induced coma in the Trauma Intensive Care Unit at North Memorial, Robbinsdale, MN, for 26 days. His family was fighting right alongside of him.
Kenny has been transferred to Regency Center Hospital in Minneapolis to continue to receive care for his extensive injuries. The injuries he sustained were eight (8) skull fractures, broken rib, broken back (C6 and T5), broken ankle, broken left knee, and major skin grafting of the left calf. He has lost the use of his legs.
Kenny's road to recovery will require 18-24 months of live-in rehabilitation. We are trying our best to help Kenny manage his pain and move him closer to his home on the Iron Range to be with family, including his fiancé and their two young daughters, Kharma (4) and Marley (3).
During rehab, Kenny will be rebuilding his core muscles and strength, while learning a completely new way of life. He will need to learn new ways to care and interact with his daughters. He will need to search for new experiences to enjoy life. His life as an ironworker (like his grandfather!) will change. He is--and has been—an incredible fighter, but he needs help. He misses his girls, he is dealing with a lot of change, and his medical bills will only increase.
Kenny's insurance only covers so much and already the medical bills have been depleting his bank account. He was in the process of buying a house and planning a 2019 wedding, but his down payment and savings have now gone to medical bills. He will not be able to work for the next 18-24 months, and will be reliant on Alicia’s income.
Kenny currently lives in a two-story townhome/apt and will need to relocate to a wheelchair accessible location. Additionally, though a proud member of Ironworkers Union Local 512, Kenny will need to consider other career options.
If you can help us offset some of Kenny's extraordinary medical costs and some of his living expenses, it would mean so much.
We've done the math with what we know so far:
$42,000 would help with some of his medical expenses, a wheelchair, rent/utilities, etc.
An additional $30,000 would help them get into an accessible home and cover additional expenses over the next two years..
