Kennesaw State Rugby Club Nationals Fund

Kennesaw State University Rugby Club has just been accepted to go to represent the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference in the 2019 USA Rugby National College 7s tournament in Tucson, Arizona. KSURFC is a mix of experiences and newer players with a lot of passion for the sport. In the 2019 Rugby 7s season. Kennesaw State has placed highly in every tournament they have competed in this season. KSU has won the Classic City 7s in Athens, GA as well as the Mosseman 7s in Murfreesboro, TN. Kennesaw State has also placed 3rd in the Furman Invitational 7s. KSURFC entered the Southeastern Collegiate Rugby Conference in the fall of 2018. In our first conference 7s tournament, KSU finished 2nd in the tournament, beating notable teams as the University of Tennessee and the University of South Carolina. With no current scholarship program available. Every player pays out of pocket to play the sport they love. The coaches are also volunteers, so they also do not get paid to do help out the club. The money donated will be going towards hotel as well as flight tickets. This acceptance into the 2019 nationals tournament is a big achievement for the club’s growth in the coming years.
