Kennedys Surgery fundraiser

This is is a photo of my gorgeous Niece Kennedy!!  If you ever have the priviledge of meeting this special girl, you will receive an overwhelming feeling of unconditional love.  She takes every opportunity to smile with her entire body, and let you know there is good in the world.

Kennedy was born prematurely at 28 weeks.  She was so excited to come into the world that she couldn't wait long enough to develop larger than 2 pounds.   Instantly, her infectious presence has made the world a brighther and calmer place.  Due to lack of oxygen to Kennedy's brain during her birth, Kennedy was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia.  The Doctors were able to properly diagnose her when she was not able to walk properly at 18 months of age.  Kennedy would eventually walk and in time run and skip rope when she was 9 tears old, doing modified crossfit.  Because she grew so fast, her muscles did not grow with her and has caused her incredible and constant pain.  Now she has to endure a considerable amount of surgeries and she is now bound to a wheelchair.  Everytime she sees her sister and friends go play outside, Kennedys sparle dulls ever slightly.

Even throughout all of this hardship, Kennedy has been able to maintain positivity and hope for a solution.  Kennedy's parents have been fighting hard for her non stop since she was born, trying everything recommended to them by varios Doctors and Practitioners.  The Canadaian Health System has provided a bandaide effect that only addresses the pain management and not provided a solution to the root issue.  This has forced her parents to look elsewhere for a Doctor with the experience necessary to help Kennedy's situation.

Recently, they were accepted to St Louis Children's Hospital for Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR).  After they have exhausted all other avenues, and months of research, our family believes this is the one solution that will gift Kennedy the ability to walk again.  This Doctor has performed over 3600 surgerys of this kind, and there is proven succeess stories of children with a similar condition, gaining full mobility back.  The two combined surgeries are costing her husband 75000.00 UDS, as well as all their travel and living expenses occurred during their +1 month long stay.

I'm asking for your help.  My sister and her family deserve our help.  Anything you are able to contribute to help this little girl walk again is more than appreciated.  Please find the space in your heart to  give what you can.
