Kelsey's Road to Wellness

Anyone who  knows Kelsey knows that she is the last person on the planet to ask for help- especially charity. Kelsey has dedicated her career to helping others who are fighting sickness by managing The cardiovascular research lab at VUMC She works tirelessly on her experiments; reaching others through science is truly her passion. After losing her husband in February of this year and dealing with immense grief and emotional healing - Kelsey is now also fighting for her health. After a kidney stone became lodged, causing a blockage, she underwent surgery to place a stent in her kidney. They found that she was actually in the midst of a septic infection and very ill. Kels was intubated and on a ventilator for 2 days- and during those days we prayed harder than ever before. Kels did pull through, but she is still recovering and has some complications to work through. Her sweet hands and feet didn’t receive enough blood and she is having to fight to use them again. As her family- we feel helpless. And as much as we know she will hate the idea of charity- we need help she needs help. Thoughts and prayers are wanted, needed even. But so is funding to help with her medical bills, her regular bills, her mortgage, and just for her. I know we can all pull together and help Kelsey get through this tragedy
