Kelly Grady Fire Recovery Fund

Hello my name is Ryan (RJ). My younger sister experienced a life altering event yesterday evening. An electrical house fire resulted in her, her young son Jaydon (4), and their beloved dog being homeless. At this point all of their belongings are being considered a total loss.

Kelly is a single mother, she is, has been, and will forever be an amazing angel. Anyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her knows how caring, generous, and giving she is. She doesn't know any other way. Her compassion knows no bounds, she has always put others first, and always helped those that needed it. My sister has not had the easiest path. But she has always kept her head up, and persevered. I find inspiration from her daily.

She recently began working at BIW as a Marine Electrician (Grade 1-3). She has worked so hard to make a better life for her and her son. And, now at her moment of greatest need I ask for those in the community she has supported and been involved with her entire life to help her when she needs it most.

I fully expect her to embody the personification of a phoenix and for her and her young family to rise from the ashes of this tragedy.

She is currently utilizing a Red Cross Voucher to stay at a hotel for the next 48 hours. The only items they were able to grab from the scene were those they could grab as they exited the house fire.

She is making a Target/Renys run this afternoon to get clothes and immediate needs. Jaydon's school has got him a pair of boots, a jacket, and a pair of snow pants from his school.
