Just typing this is hard. Yesterday in a four wheeler accident my nephew Kelden was taken from us. My sister Whitney is one of the strongest people I know, but like anybody, who prepares for the loss of a child? Kelden was a very sweet boy, we would tease him and call him Dennis the menace because if it could be broken, especially rules. He was determined to break it. But the mischievous nature was over powered by his love for everything. Animals, his family, his brother, sister, Mom, Dad, Nans, Pop and ninja turtles. His smile, his hugs, his innocence, all will be missed beyond words. Last night I realized how precious and fragile life is. As a nurse I’ve been they’re for many patients as they took their last breath, in many cases it was time. It felt peaceful and right. We’re all working on trying to find the peace in this when so much of this doesn’t make sense. Anything you can contribute is appreciated beyond words. I know money is tight for most of us so just sharing this to friends and family is enough. I want more then anything to run outside and scream Keldens name, pull him down from where he was taken, hold him and take him to my sister. I want to take all her pain away, my mom and dads pain away. My family’s pain away. I can’t. But I’m going to do my damnest to take away the burden of worrying about money. I wish you all a blessed day, and thank you in advance.
