Keith Rowe-Funeral and Burial Cost Donations
My father was diagnosed with Glioblastoma stage 4
about 2 years ago. Due to financial hardship, our family is finding
times very difficult. We are asking for any donations possible, no matter how
small, to help my father with the proper burial service he wanted. We
understand times are hard, but we cannot go without searching for help. He was
sent home from all chemo and trials possible and has been put on Hospice care.
I am not a doctor and I cannot break this down into technical terms, but I will
do my best. My father, "Keith" as he is known by the community, had
been getting bad headaches for about a month or so. Being the hard working man
that he has always been didn't think much of it. As the days went by, his
headaches grew stronger and unbearable. On Saturday August 14th 2010 around
4:30am, my mom took him to St. Mary's Medical center. The staff ran some MRI's
and found some spots on his brain. They then decided to transfer him to
Arrowhead Regional Medical Center due to his lack of insurance.
After running more MRI's they found three masses on the brain and let my dad go
home. The very next day the doctor called and told my dad he needed to come in
as soon as possible because what they found was life threatening. After
waiting many agonizing hours in the ER, the Neurologist came in and said he
needed to speak to us. What was next we would have never expected.
My father was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor on the back of his brain and was
told he would go in for brain surgery because it was growing at a fast rate. Since
then he has had 3 brain surgeries and tried just about any trial available to
him. Here we are 2 years later and he has been sent home from hospital care.
Times have become really rough for both my father and our family. Keith is now
enrolled in hospice care; he has become completely paralyzed on his left side
and has become increasingly difficult to understand. We knew this time would
come but it's just something you never want to prepare for, especially for a
loving father and husband that had so much more to give. We appreciate your
time and help. Thank you.
