Keeping Theater Alive & Well

Donation protected
COVID-19 has wreaked havoc on every aspect of our lives for over 2 years.  Theatres have been dark, and artists need to seek out new and creative ways to express themselves and reach an audience.  Like everyone else, we were initially on a hiatus while the world was on lockdown and everyone sheltered in place and hunkered down to wait for things to go back to normal.  As it became more and more clear that a new normal was in order. we began to find ways to connect with our community, both performers and audience virtually and continue the work we have always done.  While zoom will never compare with live theatre, it did allow us to keep the creative juices flowing and include people from all over the world in virtual performances, readings and open mics. We are now getting back out bearings and doing live theatre again. Along with Kairo's Café Open Mic Workshop, we just finished a 2 night 4 show run of James Weldon Johnson's The Crucifixion and now we're getting ready to do our staged readings of a trilogy of plays called Darkness Saturday April 30th and our BLM Short Stories Saturday May 28th. We are also getting ready to file paperwork to become a 501(C)3 non-profit organization, and hope to see the return of our workshops soon.  To support us in these and other endeavors, please make a donation. Even $1 goes a long way! Viva La Familia!
