Keeping the Lights on at GIAW

Donation protected
Grand Isle Art Works (GIAW) is located on Route 2 just north of the village in Grand Isle. Grand Isle is a small (population 2000) island town located in Lake Champlain.  We are a Vermont artisan gallery. The property is a quirky old farmhouse built in 1797, with lots of character and interesting spaces for displaying art and fine crafts.  We represent over 70 Vermont artisans with artwork across multiple mediums!  The colors make this little farmhouse come alive!

This fundraiser will help us keep the lights on at GIAW during this current pandemic.  We closed our doors on March 12, 2020 and with this so was our income and the income potential for 70+ artists. Closed. Our artists are Vermonters. For many selling their artwork is the basis of their entire income. We have moved representative items online in hopes of garnering sales to help support both the gallery and the artists.  Currently, GIAWs bills continue to amass week by week.  Everything from mortgage to fuel for heating to electricity to water to property taxes (due in April).  Our hope is to be able to ride this out in place.  We are following all the guidelines that have been put forth by our Governor.  We shelter at home, keep our business closed to real time visitors, and only go out for essential items.
