Virgeline wants to keep her independence

My 79 year old mom miraculously has recovered from pneumonia in both lungs, sinus infection and a sodium level of 112. We thought we were going to lose her but God had different plans. She wants to be at home, because she has always been a strong independent women, but there are some changes that need to be made so she can move around the house safely. I have been helping with what I can afford, but she can’t get in and out of her tub shower anymore. It was recommended for her to get a low threshold shower with a seat. I have priced some that will fit the hole and they are $1,400 and up. I figure with $3,000 we can buy the materials and pay someone to install it so she can shower more independently. Thank you so much for your consideration and any financial help you can give. She wants to be able to be at home for her golden years and this would help make it happen.
